Artist Statement
The reasons I take pictures is to capture my emotions. I like to capture pictures of beautiful things that catch my eyes. I like to save my pictures and later look back at the story behind that picture. A photograph is more than a picture for me, everyone of my pictures has a meaning behind it. Half on my pictures are memorize of the places I have traveled. I think Taking a lot of pictures is part of my culture. My family is always capturing photograph during family reunions to save them as memories.
I enjoyed taking photos for my photography class assignments. I captured my some of my photos outside in the nature or at my house with my Iphone. Also, some of them were captured in class. I photographed a pen light flashing in the dark in my classroom. I liquefied Stephanie's face in the classroom in a black background. I liquify Stephanie's face to make her look funny and attract my viewer’s attention. I took a picture of a notebooks spiral ring inside to make it look like everyday is chaos and we have to go through it. I photographed my necklace as one of my pictures because it was a special gift from my mom. I also photographed my little nephew that I adore to look back at them when he grows up. My pictures symbolize emotions towards things that I love. If you look closing each of my pictures has a message in it. My photos symbolizes morals. My photos describe who I’am. I use different lighting and angles to make my pictures look different. Color and nature is what makes my pictures stand out. For example I took a picture of the sunset in Coyote Hills. A photographed movement to catch my viewer’s attentions. I also use texture by photographing my dogs paw with fur. I use lines in my photos all the time. You can see lines in my photos when I photograph the people I care most about. |
